ÒRA is the result of the selection of the best vineyard plots, meticulous vine-growing and vinification. The wine is matured in concrete vats and new oak barrels. 

ÒRA is the iconic cuvee of La Verde and the quintessence of our terroir and vineyard.

Grape varieties

55 % Grenache, 25 % Syrah, 20 % Mourvèdre.

Winemaking

Long and gentle maceration in concrete vats with immersed cap. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre are vinified separately with temperature varying from 28 to 30°C to preserve each varietal’s personality. Part of the Syrah and Mourvèdre wines spend a year in oak barrels before blending and bottling.

Wine & Food pairing suggestion :
Duck breast fillet with honey sauce

Realisation :

Préparation : 10 min
Cooking : 15 min

Ingredients :

  • Two fillets of 350g each
  • 20 cl of orange, carrot and lemon juice
  • 3 spoonfuls of liquid honey
  • Salt and pepper

Directions :

Streak the fillet with a knife and salt both sides of the fillets

Put fillets on skin side in hot anti-adhesive frying pan for 5 to 6 minutes

When the skin is brown remove the fillets and juice then turn over the fillets. Cook for another 2 minutes.

Pour liquid honey and fruit juice in a bowl, mix and cook in microwave oven set to maximum for 45 seconds

Pour the mixture into a saucepan then remove the fillets and keep them warm. Scratch the pan and reduce the honey-orange juice for 2 minutes

Cut the duck fillets in slices and top with sauce

Serve the dish with fried potatoes
